The 2005
LIST
OF STALLIONS (Click "2005
List . . . ") is
automatically subscribed for the 2004 Stallion Stakes due
to past (1999-2004) participation in the CRHA stallion breeding
donation program/auctions. Three year olds of this list of
stallions are eligible to enter the 2005 Stallion Stakes
Futurity class to run concurrent with the Open and Non Pro
Futurity classes. Any three year old from these stallions
are eligible for 2005
Challenge Stallion Stakes. To maintain eligibility for Stallion
Stakes, the stallion owner must participate in the Stallion
Service Auction each year. Proposed
entry fee for 3-yr old Stallion Stakes is $300.00 for the
Open class and $225.00 for the Non Pro division (subject
to change).
Payout:
Retain
10% for show; 10% to top two stallion owners in each class,
80% to awards (70/30 Open/Non Pro). Stallion owners who do
not participate in the donation program and/or do not subscribe
their stallions are not eligible for monetary awards. A
congratulatory letter will be sent to the owners of non-subscribed
stallions inviting them to participate for the following
year. Any monies that would have been awarded to stallion
owners who do not participate will remain in the Stallion
Stakes program for future prizes.

Joins Program:
"Guest" Stallions can
be subscribed for 2005
so that their three-year-olds can compete although the stallion
owner has not previously participated in the Stallion Service
Donation program. The stallion
owner can subscribe a stallion by participating in the 2005
Stallion Service Auction for 2006 breeding
and an admission fee of $700.00. A 2005 donation
for 2006 breeding subscribes the stallion and his 3-year-olds
can participate in 2006. The participant pays regular Stallion
Stakes Futurity entry fee. To continue as a subscribed stallion,
the owner must donate a breeding each year to the Auction
program.

STALLION STAKES UPDATE ~
Post–2004
Challenge Info on the
Stallion Stakes Open & Non Pro Futurities !
Many
thanks to our Stallion
Stakes Exhibitors and owners that made our "Inaugural
Event" so successful.
With $11,000.00 in payouts, we had 10 entries
between the Non Pro and Open classes.
Dave Belson is the Non Pro Champion on Joses
Doc N Dun It out
of Dave's own Doc N Jose. Dave will receive monies
for being both the Non Pro winner and the Owner of the Stallion that
sired the Champion. Many thanks to Dave & Myra
Belson for their outstanding, long term support of the CRHA and the Challenge.
The Non Pro Reserve Champion is Quervo
With A Twist owned
and ridden by Doug De Dona. Terry Brumley, owner
of Boomernicker, will
receive the Owner of the Sire Award for the
Non Pro Reserve Champion. Boomernicker is new to our stallion program
this year and many thanks to the Brumleys for their donation.
In
our Open Stallion Stakes Futurity, Sparklin
Amy, shown
by Roberta McCarty is the Champion, earning
Roberta a nice award and Kathy & Dewayne
Copus will receive the Sire Award for owning Shine On.
Laura Day is the owner of our Open Reserve
Champion, Tejons Boomencommand, ridden by Tom Foran. Tejons
Peppy Doc is the sire of Tejons Boomencommand; however, this stallion
is not subscribed to our Auction Program so the owner monies will be
retained for Future Stallion Stakes Awards. Tom Foran, also
rode the 3rd
place winner, Ida Dun Hollywood owned by Loren Booth. Loren will
receive the 3rd place check. We would like to recognize Top
Dun as the sire
of Ida Dun Hollywood.
Stallion
Service Silent Auction Update:
Thanks
so much to the Stallion Owners that
donated their Stallions for 2005 Breedings. Without
their generous support, our Challenge
Stallion Stakes Futurity & Derby would
not be as successful as it was in October.
We had five winning bids at the Challenge. Congratulations
to Selena Stafford winning Dun It With a Whiz (Thank You, Bravo
Quarter Horses); Laura Attig wins Guinness (Thank You, Kirsten
Booth); Toby Faingold wins Mister Montana Nic (Thank You,
Schmersal Reining Horses); Cindy Berg wins Missn No Chex (Thank
You, Warledge LLC); and Sheri Held wins Shine On (Thank
You, Kathy & DeWayne Copus).
